Bard College of Percussion
The the digital book "Bard College of Percussion" started exclusively as a layout project. However, the design work quickly expanded beyond the page and into the realm of motion-graphics and multi-media.
The community surrounding the biggest tabletop roleplaying game in the world, Dungeons & Dragons, is filled with wonderful creatives who have independently published their works to be used in tandem with the decades-old hobby. I was honored to work with one such small studio who published the supplement "Bard College of Percussion". As the layout artist for this project, I was asked to design the book from cover to cover. The cover design was created using both Illustrator and Photoshop while the interior page layout was completed in InDesign.
In addition to the layout of the book, I was happy to create an animated advertisement involving the "magical drum" on the front cover. The magic effects were created in After Effects and the video was compiled using Premiere.
